We have been teaching folks how to build floating wetlands for over 15 years. For Earth Day 2010, the Choctaw Nation and the Poteau Valley Improvement Authority (PVIA) sponsored an educational event for local middle schoolers at Lake Wister. Students helped build and plant two floating wetlands which were added to those already in the lake.
